Playing With Swords

This is quite possibly the most unique and artistic "collaboration" post I've gotten the opportunity to participate in. I was given the task to create a moodboard based on one of the jewelry collections of London-based designer, LeiVanKash. With my recent self-education and obsession with Tarot, choosing her line of swords (called "Damocles") was virtually brainless. And while LeiVanKash's aesthetic has many differences compared to my own, I chose to focus on our similarities: the noir side of life, a la The Dark Ages. Of course, I still had to do it my way and swept through it with a bit of grunge.

Oh and did I mention, she and Nokia teamed up and gave each invited blogger a Nokia Lumia 900 to snap photos with. Most photos seen above were taken with my new favorite phone. The rest can be blamed on the internet.

I'd like to call this piece "Swords Grungesque."
